The aim of the popular mindfulness programs and practices is to help us cope with stress and to improve our well-being. It is a self-improvement program that has found its way into all walks of life.
On the other hand there is a mindfulness that has its origin in Buddhism which is just the opposite of this popular trend that we see . Its aim is to weaken or to minimize the importance of the self. By doing so it allows us to be truly creative.
